Thread starter have not got the right topic for the intention of his thread.
It's leading people into the wrong direction - as if taking up photography
has made him or her fallen deep into what? It was not explain, but when
he said he has spent 2K then we realized his intention.

Fully positive about that this is not only a "sacred yet taboo topic" but
can be a bit scary to potential people who wants to pick up photography.
Fortunately for a few who decided to make it a career, then all the equipment
cost are paid by the clients (because you must make profits when you go
    into business).

From a hobby point of view, one can spent just $300 to more than $10K
while the commercial photographer can start with a minimum of $2K to
more than a $1000K (a million dollar) according to the requirements of his business.

Cheers to all who knows what photography can benefit them and wants
to pick it up as an additional life skills.
