Default ND Fader and Image Quality

    Hi,
Does using Fader ND reduce the image quality?

I tried using Fader ND + Polarizer on my usually very sharp Tamron 17-50mm lens and was not happy with the results.
The sharpness went down really bad.

Is this usual or my Fader filter is bad quality or I should not have put the polarizer?

Just trying to figure if others have had similar problem.

Assuming u are using CPL, there are 4 pieces of glass in front of ur lens. IQ drop is almost certain.

Even if it's POL, I believe it's still not advisable to do so.

If the Fader ND is made of 2 CPL then adding another CPL is calling for funky results.
