    actually you can shoot street photography in any public place (street, park/garden, mrt, beach etc) , sometimes the best street shots are taken when there are fewer ppl ard.
    you can buy better gear but you can't buy a better eye

    little india not bad haha, but becareful as lots of FT there, you wont know what they will do

    FT won't do anything. they're too educated and paid too highly to do things like that.

    Generally its a good place to start shooting. To be honest almost anyplace can be a good place to start shooting provided you have a focus of some sort. For e.g. my theme today is to shoot candids of people flagging for cabs during rush hour in CBD area, or say, today's focus is on Contrast, just head out into the streets and be on a lookout for things, you should be able to come up with images that are more resounding/cohesive.

    I dunnoe if it will work for you but it definitely work for me, I shifted from randomly shooting streets to a focusing on a particular 'theme'
