yea thats what i did, but i guess thats counted as a link. i think I can actually just post as a image, as in not through flickr? think that one no need 50 posts. i don't know why that never came up before.. or why i didn't think about it.. shall go try in awhile..

Want to ask fellow photographers how do you guys know if you all are on the right track when you all first started out? as in how do you know which areas you must improve on etc?

I took some photos and asked some of my friends but i guess they are not really interested in photography so could not give me any constructive feedbacks. also noticed that CS need a min of 50 posts before we can post links to our photos.

So would like to find out the different sources you guys learn from... thanks in advance.
library and bookshop are good sources of books of photography and site like flickr as well.
look at what others been doing. Check out the different genre like sports, motorsports, portraits, street, landscape (urban, natural, etc), seascape, studio, abstract, macro, etc etc. The basic should mostly be the same for all genre but each genre does have its own unique demand in skill and knowledge to achieve the results. Find out how the good ones were captured and learned and use it.

Just post in any subforum other than kopitiam, you will pass the 50th post in no time.
