Default Problems with CS5 photo merge

    Hi guys,

I am having problem with CS5 whenever I tried to click photo merge, the whole CS5 will crush and close the programme. I am trying to do a pano stitch.

Is someone facing the same problem as me.
    Please advise
    This is so annoying.

Is there any error message? What system are you using? Have you checked log files (system messages, event log)?

Have had this before on a Mac. Reboot and try only a few of the pics. Suspect there must be some internal defect that gets triggered sometimes.

Hi Octarine, there is no error message. I am running on windows. Sorry i dont know anything about system messages and event log.
Totally new to photography and Photoshop.
    Please advise.

Can someone introduce a free pano software for the time being please.
I wish to try things out before going for holiday photo shoots.

    1) Check all recommended settings for Photoshop (Google helps here)
    2) Do a hard disk check (enable 'check for bad sectors'), get some coffee. (It will take a long while).
    3) Do a memory check (there is also a Windows tool for that, otherwise every Linux Live CD has this boot option "Memory Check").
