Lightbulb my 9 y.o. son shot with live rounds in s'pore

Today, my 9 y.o. son shot with 5 live 5.56mm rounds at pasir laba 100m range, part of Army Open House's activities. For me, I had to wait till I was 18 y.o., as part of national service training. How has Spore evolved!!

The target is full size. By the way, his markmanship's score is not the issue here. His experience is.

There was no need to do that. The attending Cpl did that.

Maybe the next organizing committee will consider your idea.

yes yes... the next thing may be firing off the 90mm gun of the SM1 tank or maybe the 155mm gun of the FH-2000.

    wah that's cool!
I 1st shot the GPMG blanks when I was 11, think its a program for primary 5 students, my school only sent boys then, visited CDO camp and another camp with amoured infantry vehicle plus the firing range.

I was very impressed then. late 80s...now the ARMY has really progress since then.

for live round, easier and safer to clear jams WITHOUT the pouch mah

can't remember which movies, there was this sniper who use his right hand to "catch" the expanded cart as he unload and the cart eject out cos the enemy may be able to trace him if he just left the cart behind

From the way you worded the title, I thought your son had BEEN shot with live rounds! Phew - think the reality is slightly better but don't you think that guns and 9 year olds are a bad mix??? I wouldn't even want my son to have a toy gun let alone go near a real one.
