Thread: Slave Flash unit triggered by other's flash burst.

Default Slave Flash unit triggered by other's flash burst.

    Hi

Is there any recommendation for a strong and powerfull flash that can be trigger by another flash's flashing light.

I saw a guy using it to do bounce off fill in at a wedding dinner. He triggered off the slave flash with his digicam built in flash.

I am interested in one that can be as powerful as possible

Get a resonably powerful flash, e.g. Vivitar 285, then get a slave unit (~$20).

    will any slave flash do?

Heard that there are slave flash units meant for digital, mainly to handle the preflash on dig cams.

The normal slave flash units cost like $20, but was checking it out at john316, was told that for dig cam, the slave flash unit is like $80. Anyone knows more about this? I know nuts bout external flashes.

Slave Flashes made for Digital Cameras need to cater for the preflash. So it's possibly more expensive.

Anyone interested to buy my Kako 9000 E-Series.
It is meant to be a slave flash for digital cameras, can also be used for cameras with pre-flash.

    Uses 4 AA batts.

    From the Spec sheet:
    GN is equivalent to 24m @ ISO100.

    the Unfolded size is L70mm x B50mm x H150mm.

    See here for more.

    Bought in 130402 @ $85.
    Selling @ $70.
Selling as I'm using the Vivatar 285HV....

    Mssg me if interested...
