    Default 27 inch LED monitor help!

    Hey guys! just asking for good and honest opinions on which LED HD monitors you all recommend for photo editing!

    I'm looking for a 27 inch LED HD monitor, need the size as i'm gonna play my ps3 on it as well.

    looking forward to your honest suggestions/opinions!

    I don't think there are any LED monitors that are using PVA or IPS panels yet.
    So it won't be good for photo editing.

    Go for the Dell U2711, you'll be able to connect your PS3 to it as well.
    Be sure to get a good calibrator to go with the good panel =)

    Dell is going to refresh their Ultrasharp models this year with LED IPS panel

    how does it compare with the samsung 27' monitor?

    If I'm not wrong the Samsung doesn't have 2560px resolution.

    The Dell U2711 is the best of the 27 inchers. An alternative would be the Apple LED Cinema display, but it's way too glossy for photo editing work, for me at least.

    Color depth also seem wider in a way to me on the Dell, and overall more comfortable to use than the Apple screen.

    Only downside about the Dell is that it doesn't look as sexy as the Apple one. Haha

    Why must be LED? The Dell U2711 (or any IPS panel) is great. The only "problem" is the wide gamut...
