    Thanks! I don't always use the far end 55. Composition come first for my food photo. You can still get blurring effect at 30mm just that not as much as 55, but as long as the subject I want to bring out is in focus then it will be good enough for me.

    For my range of photo, no Marco lens is use. I don't see the need for my style, but a lots of food photographer recommend to use Marco lens for food photography. Especially those who like to get really close to get the detail of the foods. For me I don't get too near as I want to present the view from a diner.

    Yes ntheni, I think your food is close enuf for me. That means no need macro lens for me too.

    Looking at the Creamy Bacon Ham Spaghetti photo again, the parmesan cheese looks kind of like bee hoon and my spaghetti looks a bit like fried hokkien prawn mee

    I frequent the one at thomson, didn't know they had other branches haha.

    Done a quick shot before my family started to eat the mooncake hahaha
    No time to find more prop so I have to squeezed the frame to cover the empty area
