Smile Osim Singapore Triathlon 2004 (Cycling Shots)

Managed to get a pretty good location to try out some flash sync panning. Used a wide angle rather than the usual tele for a more exaggerated 'in your face' perspective.

Shot over a hundred of these but managed to single out these 5 based on the expressions of the cyclists, which I feel really conveys the toughness of the race.

nice...... really show the toughness in their faces......

was there too.... but was hesistant on using flash, afraid that it might distract the athletes...... my shots doesn't show so much movement... will try to post some for comments when i managed to process them.....

Agree that the flash is a little harsh on that one, he was less than a metre away from me.

Had to use flash because the shaded area (near the stands) were much too dark and had very uneven lighting.

ya... agree that the lighting were uneven and overcast earlier in the morning.... but I had a great time meddling with my cam.... pushing up ISO and changing settings to make the shot......

Nope was with a friend, all these shots were from the crossing area near the stands, shot there for 15min until I got chased away. How did you do in your race?
