Default Taking vertical photo with D7000.

It seem when I tilt my D7000 90 degree to take a vertical photo , the picture dosent appear vertical when i preview it =x. Is there essential setting involved ? Thx in advance.

I think NoobInTraining guessed the intention of TS' question quite well
Didn't think of this possibility as well.
yes, should be something to do with the 'auto rotation' setting.

I've my camera Auto Image Rotation on, but switch off the Rotate Tall, so able to maximize the viewing areas for vertical orientation shots during preview.

anyway, this is personal preference, you may choose whatever works for you.

If i not wrong, auto rotation is only for view in camera LCD. Not any change in orginal image.

"Auto Image Rotation" will mark vertical images so when you open them up in PP software like Lightroom, it will appear vertical correctly.

"Rotate tall" will rotate vertically marked images to vertical orientation when reviewing on the LCD.
