Default Blast Destroys Camera, Flash Card Survives

A news photographer's camera was destroyed during the recent demolition of a MIssissippi River bridge, but the camera's Compact Flash card survived to tell the story.

No wonder I have a feeling that the story sounds like an ads from Sandisk.

Looks quite fake to me. Very 3D rendering type of image especially on the rocks.

    it's not just sandisk

most CF cards are built to be able to withstand lots of accidents that your camera cannot withstand. you might not get a clean CF card out of it, but the memory is mostly recoverable. i think robgalbraith once ran a torture test of a few CF cards and the result is the same.. most situations the data is recoverable..
