    nice pics...
but i personally find it too contrasty... i would prefer a more vibrant yet an exposure that shows detail to the food textures to make me want to take out from the pic and eat it! oops.

    just my 2 cents...
    I love Tamron.

Would u mind sharing your setup? Friend asked me to shoot food and I've never done it, but would like to learn. Do u use a macro lens? How about flashes? I presume u set it up on a tripod and u use the 'environment' as background? Thanks in advance ,

    Hi Meng,
My current setup only use whatever natural lighting. No flash either. But I do have a set of good lenses that I try to invest in. The 3 lenses which I use very often is 35mm Leica Summicrion f2 (converted mount to Sony Alpha), Sony's Carl Zeiss Plantar T* 85mm f1.4 ZA & Minolta 100mm f2.8 Macro. Once in a while I would use my Minolta 16mm f2.8 Fish-eye. Most of these lenses (except the 85mm) can shoot at 0.3M distance. I guess the trick is also to shoot where there is natural sunlight or daylight coming into the place.

    That's about my setup

Yes. Most of them are shot F1.4 or F2... the problem is getting the focus right...
