    Default 105 or 60 Micro for my D 90 ?

    Hi Friends
I am unable to take Macro Photos with my D 90 Kit lens and I want to purchase a Macro lens for Macro work and Portraits also, please let me know which one is better for my D 90 Cam , either a 60 Micro or 105 Micro lens ?

    Thanks

if you're shooting insects, 60mm might be very close to the subject and you might scare it away. so get the 105 instead.
I shoot with my A7II . I shoot with my Kalashnikov AEG. I just love shooting ;)

I am also thinking of getting the 105mm f2.8 micro ... what other choices do we have?

Tamron 90mm AF F/2.8 macro is a very good lens alternative. It's image is comparable to the 105mm. The disadvantage is that it's body extends a lot when focus to 1:1, by normal use it's ok but if you add additional attachment like a piece of raynox (it's a magnifying glass), you will scare of your subject as you will be too close.

There's still the tokina 100mm and sigma 105mm as well.

Both are cheaper than the Nikon 105mm but more expensive than the Tamron 90mm. I'm using the Tokina 100mm, so far I've been quite impressed with the sharpness. Here's a sample pic.

For fx 90mm will be too short. Try the tamron 180/3.5. Excellent lens. If you want Nikon, 200/4.
