    Thumbs down Rude HSBC Telemarketer

Received a very rude telemarketing phone call just a moment ago. When I picked up the phone the lady just call my name directly: "Are you xxx yyy zzz?" I answered yes and she went on with her telemarketing stuffs. So I waited for her to pause and told her I am not interested. And she just slam the phone on me without a word! Well done HSBC, for getting such character to represent your bank. I never like telemarketing, but this is really too much!

zip you're too slow drawing out the gun ..... i usually cut it off within the first 3 seconds with a "Sorry not interested" and cut the line off

They talk as if a FREE Personal Credit Line 4 to 8 times your monthly salary is macham like free money like that

But DO take up the offer and draw to the MAX IF you're already on the verge of being declared a bankrupt soon/anyway from your other debts .... a $10,000 bankrupt and a $10mil bankrupt is the same thing ....
shaddap and just shoot .... up close

Haha I usually just tell them politely that I'm not interested, and most of them are nice enough to say "thank you for your time" etc. This one is trying to telemarket some "retirement plan". Standard Chartered had been high on my list for rude customer service and anoying telemarketing. I think HSBC had just made the list.

What kind of telemarketers are these? The use of manual push-button telephone is really inefficient, they should really consider outsourcing to a call centre with computer telephony integration capabilities.

I think most banks nowadays do outsource the telemarketing, cos the callers will say "I am calling from xxx company representing yyy bank". The irony is these banks spend tonnes of money advertising their brand name on medias to improve their image, but would outsource and engage such "callcenter" that would ruin their reputation with just a few rude phone calls. The rude phone call I received, I believe the lady was calling from home, cos I could hear kids making noise in the background.

Anyway when one of these guys or ladies calls, I'll just tell them I'm a undischarged bankrupt. They stopped calling for a very long time.

imho, nowadays Bank does not worry either you can pay or loan or can not..what they want is your LOAN even if everybody declared bankrupt, they can ask bail out from government and if the government does not want to bail them out, they will give high bonus to those top management and they closed the bank.. it's a WIN WIN situation for the top management..
