been searching online and still deciding which one to get ? Dell has a good range as in the xps 8300.. DIY PC has the freedom to get top range components,

any recommendations for a good desktop for photoshop/premier elements ?

I built my own PC. It gives me more room for customization.

Buy branded if u wish to pay more for less or you want hassle free service if your comp breaks down

We also have numerous "what rig to get"/"recommend Pc specs" etc threads already. Just make sure you have loads of HDD space and RAM.

I sometimes bring work home. As I work in research field, needed a monster of a PC and just built one as none of the companies offered one for my configuration.
Running Phenom Hex core with 12 GB of RAM and 6 TB of hard disk space.
Thinking of upgrading as my programs are running out of memory.

I would suggest atleast a quadcore with 4-8 GB of RAM.
And as much HDD space as you are likely to require.
