    Default Buying canon 1100D

Hi all. Planning to buy a canon 1100D. Any recommended shop to buy? Just came back from sim lim and I'm confused with the wide range of prices. From 808 to just 650. Heard a lot of scams occur at sim lim. What can they actually scam you with? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

We have a list of recommended shops and a list of price guides. Feel free to browse this for contacts and details. Do read in Consumer Corner the feedback about certain shops and tactics.
Scams are typical at lower levels of Sim Lim, the only reputable shop (imho) is OP, 6th floor. Scams can be everything, starting from quotes without GST, 'body only' prices
where all accessories of the standard box suddenly become chargeable items, 'promotions' where the low camera price is only valid if you buy completely useless and crappy wide angle / macro converters at astronomical prices and others. If you like the thrill feel free to step into any minefield at level 2. Otherwise, the list of recommended shops has a reason. But still, do your homework. Never be blind, never buy what you don't know, never buy because somebody else recommends.
