    Bro, try googling for "booksdepository".
It might surprise you. You might need help on the credit card though.

You really should try going to kino/borders especially for overseas publications.
Actually, I found quite a number of good photography books in popular... Quite good too. But you must be able to read Chinese. ;P

If you are serious about getting good photography books, then "not going Orchard often" is not an excuse. As the members shared here, there are many good books in Kino/borders. Not only that, you can try pageone and even riceball. Not all POPULAR bookstore carry the same range. I've seen some recommended books sold in POPULAR Compass Point.

Trouble is, you don't even know what you want to read...Books like hotshoes diary talks about flash techniques and lightings. We can always recommend, ultimately, it is what you want to read and learn.

By the way, you can always approach the customer service officer in POPULAR to unwrap the book for you to peruse. I've done that umpteenth times.

Not that I don't know what I wanna read. I just wanna read anything. As long as it's photography, I'll absorb it in.

Where can I get the photography magazines like the one from UK? can't remember the name. I've tried my nearest 7-eleven, but there isn't anything related to photography. Do the 7-elevens sell different magazines too?

Yup. There is one book for lightning and portrait both outdoor and studio. Published by fengniao.com. So it is all in Chinese. It is pretty good so I bought it.

Cheap and good seldom go hand in hand in a place in SG.

You can make a reservation. Saw a few copies of McNally's The Moment It Clicks the other day at Woodlands library.

Here's my Top 25 Digital Photography Books Recommendation based on the things that I enjoy shooting. Most are available locally at PageOne and Riceball as well.

I've read a stack of "Digital Photography Fundamentals" from Aperture and really liked it. In fact, my friend was literally oblivious to his surroundings when I let him read it in MacD. We were laughing like mad beside him but he didn't notice at all for the whole 1.5 hours.

Are there any books that are as good as, or better than, this article?
Slightly lower quality is okay though, since "quality" is a very flexible term.

2 simple requirements though. It must be available in stores like POPULAR, and preferably look like a book so that I can read it in my school's Silent Reading programme.

    Thanks~
I'm reading The Photographer's Mind and The Photographer's Eye by Michael Freeman..
