the contrast between the security of the boy with the reassuring hand of his mother on his shoulders, and insecurity of the schoolgirl clutching her bag while the man eyes her from behind, framed by the doors of the bus that offer a fleeting glimpse into the duality of our mundane existence.

Quite like this pic.

The framing is well done.

The hand of the "mother" is not very obvious. Not too clear on my screen that it belong to the mother or if the hand is even holding on to the boy.

I like the expression and posture of the girl though.

Is there anytime for you to lower you angle a bit so that you are at eye level to the girl?

Hi,
In my humble opinion, I feel that the ppl towards the right of the photo is "distracting" from the main subject which is ths indian girl, also the "weightage" given to the boy with mum is not enough to convey the sense of security.

there was about 5-10 secs b4 the doors closed, i was shooting from the bus stop about 10m away, there would have been enough time to shoot from a lower angle.

hi betazone,

thanks for your views. i find that the people on the right helps to draw attention to the indian girl by their posture and demeanour. i do agree that the sense of "security" could be more strongly portrayed.
