    No.

For me, getting a more advance camera does not turn me into a better photographer ... I rather spend more time to shoot than to spend more money ... I suppose the former is more practical to me now ...

    Nope.. using 300D.

Totally agrees that having a better or more advance cam will not make you a better photographer.

I'm unlikely to get the 20D (it's not light enough) but the new 17-85 IS looks interesting. Might get it to replace my normal primes, 24-85 and 18-55 if it's good enough.

upgrade from film SLR...maybe...its looks like a decent enough camera for an upgrade to a 1st DSLR.

Can't afford to upgrade everytime a new model comes along. Usually I will wait for 2 or 3 models later before upgrading. Prefer to spend the money on better lens.

nope, won't upgrade yet.. maybe when it finally breaks or I drop it somewhere...

i would have upgraded if it were a 1.3x crop.. but it isn't, so there's nothing I can't take already with a 300D (albeit at a teeny slower pace)

I think D60/D30 owners would be more inclined to upgrade - 3 pt AF to 9 pt AF is quite a significant jump; the faster AF would be very useful to some people (myself included).
