Default any good mags on reviews of lenses?

can anyone recommend a good photo mag with emphasis on lenses? so far only Popular Photography and Shutterbug have articles/reviews on lenses. i was thinking if they have mags which covers what digital cameras to buy or specialised mags on outdoor and b&w photography why isnt there any mags on lenses? the mags mentioned above only review new lenses or at the very most a lens guide which does not offer any ratings other than listing down its specifications and price. im very sure it would be very popular among SLR and DSLR photographers. any recommendations would be most welcome. thanks.

Don't bother with magazines - they never say bad things about any products. The worst offenders are photography and hi-fi magazines. Well, hi-fi magazines are probably the worst - there are all these golden eared snobs who pop out meaningless paragraph one after another. How someone can spend 500 words extolling the virtues of a power plug is beyond me. Photography mags are more of the same, if not quite as bad.

yes, how true! sometimes i get sceptical when different mags give different reviews of the same lenses! so i mostly read up from different sources. even looking thru the sample pics taken a particular lens at www.pbase.com pose problems as i do not know if these pics are post-processed. guess just hv to read up from many sources to do my homework. thanks alot!
