I don't get it. It's blur. What am I supposed to see here? Being honest.

haha no lah

it's just a shot.

it's not taken with slr
nor dslr
not even a branded p&s

it's just a lomo. so it's just for fun. it's meaningless. it's just to let people see. it's not meant to attract comments like "this is a good shot" (of course it's not a good shot) or comments like "it's out of focus" (yes it is out of focus... no offense to those who posted this comment i know it is correct)... so it's just for fun lorh. fun peace laughter and joy.

my fun, everybody's peace, laughter at a crap shot i've posted, and joy to the world.

haha

I think a more appropriate subforum to post this is "Garbage & Testing".

What camera, does it matter? It's the vision. I find there's a certain mood to this picture perhaps only the photographer can appreciate. Not saying much, but that's a personal choice.

Sequitar,

I'm just curious, what do you think of this photo yourself? I don't bother scanning in any photos that I don't think can/might work because it just takes too damn long. Did you feel something special about this one to get you to scan it in?

Enjoy the lomo. It totally opens up a whole new world of photograph.

waffle

yes harbourfront
nice guess
bet you're one of those chiong beach one right ? haha :P

supperman

there's a time for rational photography and irrational photography. in a way this is irrational to me. but i'm enjoying my lomo. a sharp, in focus photograph is a photograph. then what makes an out-of-focus photograph ?

not-a-photograph ?

what makes me like the shot, is simply something i cannot explain. maybe it's the mood ? the feel ? i have no idea. just for this current moment, i'm very happy with the way the shot has turned out. this man wasn't looking in the best of moods (sad to be exact) when i took his picture.

sure i do admit i have problems focusing the lomo. in a way this picture being out of focus was an accident, but i like this accident. i guess many people encounter accidental photographs too.

as for lomo opening a new world of photography, i don't think it appeals to anybody else, but i'm glad i've opened a new world of photography for myself.

just dont get why slrs , dslr, branded p&ses are brought up here.

so would using the above result in a more 'meaningful' shot?

lomo = less meaningful? or is bringing lomo into the picture an excuse?

haha.. for the record, i believe that lomo shots can be meaningful. and, techically enviable.

however, i feel that the shot to me here has none of that. it could be taken by ANY camera. so lomo or not..

well it is your vision.
