Cheap CF spotted

Just spotted some cheap CF cards.

512MB - $105
1GB - $215
Made with Samsung chips. Not sure about speed, of course it will not be fast chips.

Was there today wanted to buy a card but a staff (Fred) there recommend me to take Kingston or Sandisk instead as it's not that reliable when I question it.

I got to respect them for that!

Hmm.....but the shop/item does not offer warranty or stuff?

All their stuff are warrenty by them.... and i love the way they accept RMA... no question ask.... immediately 1 to 1.....

would love to purchase memory card from them again

Nope I didn't. Bought a Kingston from them instead. When Fred told me that it is not that reliable, I don't think I wanna fall into the position whereby all my holiday photo are gone!

Yes they do, but sometimes it's not about the warranty. Once you loose that important photo, it is very hard to say that I will get it back for sure. Guess I'm just "kiasi"

Could you help tell me your Kingston's CF identifier no? ie the serial that is stamp on the edge eg: THNCF512MCA Thanks.

The Kingston CF 512mb ($109) I bought in SLS do not have any thing printed on the edge.

On the back of the chip however, ther is

CF/512
9930294-002A00
P736888X1
ASSY IN JAPAN

I think it is just a "normal" speed CF.
