Default Killing Fields horror prison chief appeals

Duch even appeals against his 30 year sentence. The whole thing is a stupid wayang show. This creep would not last 5 minutes in a Singapore Court and would be quickly sentenced to death.

But one thing is clear. The so-called judges and tribunal wants this whole thing to drag out for as long as possible. Because they are earning good money in this pretence and if they had their way, they would want to drag out the court proceedings for another 20 years.

"The cost of the Khmer Rouge tribunal, meanwhile, continues to escalate, even as its process drags on slowly: Early estimates of the cost proved too low, and it now could wind up costing upwards of $200 million. United Nations investigations have found massive inflation in the salaries of local workers at the tribunal. "

Now you know why they do not want this gravy train to stop. In Cambodia where the ordinary people have low per capita income, this kind of money is like gold pouring down from heaven. So the court trial and tribunal will go on like an endless wayang show.
