    Hi everyone, need some help here.

    I took this pic at 18mm on my kit lens EFS 18~135 with triport , without lens hood. It is quite clear that there are horizontal distortion (at the water line both edges are wraping upwards compared to the middle of the pic . Is this normal or there are defects on my copy ?

    it's normal to have lenses wif distortion. u shld read up these for further understanding.

    Guess I will have to use F5.6 @ 18mm to avoid this problem.

    btw.. changing the aperture size wun solve the problem. barrel/pincushion distortions can only be fixed via photoshop's lens correction profiles.

    guess have to live with the distortion for now.... fix it later when I purchase the software.
