soon you'll see many taiwanese hiring FTs to carry their fieldpacks into war. hmm... wow. FTs could form their own mercenary army!

This issue has certainly created alot, and I mean ALOT of attention.
I don't think that SAF is laughing at this matter for sure.
Good luck to that soldier in the picture!

On the topic of SAF, our men in green stationed in Australia had a less funny situation to contend with.
    Hope they recover soon!

so, is the issue of our boys in green being thought to be weaklings who can't even carry a fieldpack any less serious than that of the issue of our boys in green getting beaten up overseas?

if you think about it, it does relate (as per the article you posted):

would you rob someone who is perceived to be soft or someone who seems like he bodybuilds and knows karate?

Those who had trained in Exercise Starlight will know how professional the ROC Army (ROCA) can be, in comparison just some of the stuff their regular soldiers does will put even our elite formations to shame.

He looks too young to be a reservist but even if he is a reservist it doesn't mean that he's not a soldier

Whether or not that lady is a maid or not I don't care. The fact is that the full pack is on the lady's back, and there's no way a full pack should be carried by a lady, whether or not she is his maid or gf or mother or grandmother!

    Army nowadays...

I really can't expect much from our guys when there is a war or any emergency...

Simply weak...they should go and read the book by Stephen Ambrose called Band Of Brothers.

mine is only 11 and already understands self-respect and responsibility ..... and 2 years back, she HAS done what this NS boy did .... make our domestic carry her crap when she was busy playing with a handheld game ..... a single stroke of the cane behind her legs when she got home woke her up real quick then ..... never repeated again

That's what I do too....now if they do anything wrong, I will tell them to correct themselves at the count of 3. If not, they will kena big time from me. Oh and they really scared of that, because I don't just do a "single stroke", I can go at a 1D mark IV.
