remote on bulb mode?

can i use my remote ML-L1 when i'm on bulb mode?
i tried but it doesn't allow me to.it doesn't show the bulb when i'm on remote,it only shows --

please help me.

When you are in bulb mode and you switch to remote trigger, it will show -- in the shutter speed value on the top lcd control panel. It works well with the remote as I have managed to get it to work.

problem sloved.cAuse i though it's like pressing the trigger like that,must hold it.
so must press release then press release again.find the remote is not responsive enough.

not all technological advancements are good.

nothing beats the good old fashioned wired cable release.
