Default Beautiful People at NDP2004

Very priviledged to get hold of the actual NDP2004 tickets... Nice afternoon weather - amidst all the sunshine there was a wondering breeze... and not to mention the electrifying atmosphere!

Decided to try to use PEOPLE as a theme this round...

Please give your comments - thanks!

Hey - thanks for the encouragements!

That's a great tip... I'll try to remember that...

BTW, how can I use slow shutter speed in a bright place like the stadium? Like capture the movement of the clapping?

Caught is esp. nice.

for slow mo, try lower iso and smaller aperature for longer shutter speed

Great photos you took!

Are they really taken using minolta Z1 ???
cos they really look very sharp and contrasty.. Is there any post processing done? how?

Thanks... well, it was so bright, I was already at ISO 50... with smallest aperture, the shutter speed still needs to be about 1/500.

Would a ND filter help? How much do they cost?

A Cir-PL should bring it down by 2 stops. Using a flash can stop the movements momentarily at lower shutter speeds (for the clapping part)

Bear in mind the smallest aperture is not ideal for protrayal shots. You do want to blur the background, which I see were nicely done for the pics shown.

Yep... there were really taken with the Z1! Look at the self-portrait hard enough and you might see it!

I guess in general most camera will work well with good lighting.

Not much post processing - I don't have PS... just a simple contrast/brightness adjustment...

I'm attaching here some evening shots that didn't do so well....
