Help Sekonic 608

I have recently purchased the Sekonic 608. I am not able to get the incident light working. The reading from the incident is always incorrect. How I manage to conclude this is that the reflected mode and the D100 metering is very close (using aperture priority) but when I switch to the incident mode, and use the same aperture priority setting, the result of the shutter speed, there was a big difference. The reflected metering shows 125 vs incident 15. Appreciate if anyone can tell me what went wrong.
