Default Beautiful World Of The Bugs

Hi guys,

Went to SBG around 6.30pm today. Initially planning to practise marco shooting but due to the sun was setting, so just only took a few quick shots at some bugs together with its nature surroundings (Err...not very well taken ). Anyway, enjoy and please comments.

Hi bro,

By the time I reached there, most of the 'creepers' already retired for the day. Paiseh...only managed to shoot these few fellas who were working 'OT'. So far, have not try marco shooting before, will practise maybe during the weekends. Btw, thanks a lot for your kind comments.

Cheers

Good efforts there

Btw, this isn't the correct forum for this category of photo. I will help you move it to the Macro/Closeup section. Kindly post in the correct forum.

Nice and vibrant colours there, good work, keep it up. Try to get closer and at same eye-level with the insects next time round.

This is a nice shot, love the contrast in colours btw the red heliconia flower petals and the silky green background. If you can get this type of background for your shots it would be great.

Keep shooting!

Hi Avatar,

Sorie...will be more careful next time and thanks for your comment .

Hi yOngcheng,

Thanks bro! will try to shoot more and better pictures next round.

Hi Garion,

Thanks for the comments & guides glad that you like the pictures. I have tried a few close attempts to shoot the bugs but before I can do anythings, they just flew off . Guess I need a lot more practises before I can shoot like some bros here.

Cheers

You could try shooting at a closer distance to the insect if possible. If need be, crop the photo. Some shots seemed a little lacking in lighting. Of all, I like the one with the fly.

Hi snowspeeder,

Thanks for your comments. I totally agreed with you that some shots are lacking in lighting. Forgotten to bring my flash along.

The +4 filter should be able to get you quite close. Which camera/lens you using?

Hi Falcon,

I'm currently using pana fz10 and first timer in taking bugs pictures. All the shots were taken from a distance coz when tried to approach closer to these fellas, they just immediately flew away (I think I needed a lot of practise in the approaching part).

Cheers
