To reduce camera shake due to low shutter speed, you can either:

    1) use flash to increase the light in the scene
    2) choose higher iso so that you can use a faster shutter speed - this can be done in manual, Aperture or shutter priority modes.
Thanks for the advise stuck bro!

Took some photos to brush up my skills @ the HDB Hub gallery.

I find that photo number 3 is abit blur. To be honest, i am finding it very very difficult to take a clear and sharp photo without the use of tripod. Is there any ways i can improve on this area?

What i use is the 18-55mm kit lens.

assuming bumping up ISO is not preferred...

i also find it difficult to take clear and sharp photo without a tripod...not just you... these are technical limitations, nothing to do with skill... even if someone have super steady hands, its just means he/she can handheld as steady as a tripod... a tripod is use to help steady the camera if ur hand cannot do it...

You can be the greatest photographer, but if u need a tripod, u use a tripod...simple as that...

great skills is not equal to no need tripod... unless its intentional, but of course if a great photograher takes a blur picture, it can be treated as art and ppl will still be in awe of the picture...

    Haha. Thank you Flowerpot bro!

Its just that for example, i see many bros here when shooting subjects, the subject is clear, focused and sharp. For me, I still cant grasp the technique.

I do agree with your point of view though.
