    I agree with most of the comments. I like shooting fireworks because of the challenges. From finding a good location, securing a place, anticipating the burst, setting the camera for good composition, exposure, etc, etc.. It is not easy.

    so i now see, the key word is challenge.

    i was seeing sports photography, more as to journalize sports action to bring out human action/emotion, and how i perceive fireworks photography, is kind of out of our control because we dont know how bright the bursts of light would be...

    i like fireworks... so the natural progression is to photograph fireworks.

    i like sports too... so it's also natural progression to photograph sports.

    only thing holding me back from sports photography is the lack of a fast zoom lens.

    both present their own challenge... both are unpredictable in their own way
