Something wrong with the new buy n sell?

Was trying to post but keep getting the message "you need to fill in all non-optional fields" This is even after filling in NA for ALL fields.

Something wrong with the system or problem exists between chair and keyboard?

The data I entered is as follows:

Advertisement Category: WTB (Want To Buy)

Equipment Type: Others

Equipment Brand: Others (becomes disabled)
If Others, please specify: locked as well

Description: Want to buy small-medium softbox, barndoors, snoot for elinchrome (prolinca - does the model matter?).
Looking for some cheap 2nd hand ones to experiment. Condition need not be too good. So long as it's usable it's fine.

Don't select others under category. Just pick something else and it works.
Maybe the process flow not mapped out fully.
i.e.
if category = others
then brand = others and specify_others = "na"

or something.

Sorry I completely missed your thread. I have been making changes to test new features and doing tests and this must have broken the code somewhere . I have made the changes and it should be back to normal now.

I'm a programmer myself so I know how it goes. Everytime you fix/change something 2 more is liable to go wrong

I have been trying to post a WTB thread to buy a crumpler bag all day.....there is always a error msg at the end... sigh....

Actually its most likely you've encountered an error that is only applicable in certain conditions. It'lll probably be helpful to list:
1. The error message you get
2. The data/selections made

Otherwise it's unlikely anyone can locate the actual problem you encountered

When i attempt to post a thread, i get the terms and conditions with the 'I agree with the terms and conditions' and 'I disagree' selections at the bottom. When i press 'I agree', im asked to log in again. When i log in again, im brought back to the terms and conditions. Its just a loop.

We are in the midst of reviewing all the categories and brands now. Should be ready in a couple of days time.

1. load CS main forum,
2. Select Buy/Sell Thread,
3. Click on "New Thread" icon @ the top-left of the page,
4. Redirected to "login" page,
5. Type in login info,
6. Redirected to "Thank you for logging in..." page,
7. Click on "Proceed",
8. Redirected to Buy/Sell thread "Terms and Conditions" page,
9. Click on "I agree...." icon,
10. Redirected to item 4.
11. Item 8,
12. Item 9,
13. Item 4...

You get the picture? I'm on Win2K and IE Ver. 6.0.2800.1106

Iceman27 & Stoned, I have the same IE version but am unabled to reproduced your problems. Are you using the default the IE settings or have you made any changes?

maybe its a windows compatability bug. Im on Win ME. The settings are default except for security which is set to low

I keep getting a script error when submitting, and when I go back the equipment brand brand and Others pair is locked and unuseable hence annot preview.

Thanks for the bug reports.

There is indeed a small bug which appears when you do the following

1. Filled in the Buy&Sell form with all relevant information.
2. Click on Preview to see the Ad
3. Error on clicking Submit button (msg asking to fill in Others for Equipment Brand field) even though an Equipment Brand already selected on the left.

If you DO NOT click on Preview, the error does not appear.

Will get this fixed asap ... or when the script-meister gets in
