Do they do this?
Gonna send some pics for printing, just wondering if those shops does adjust any settings (eg brightness etc) for us, should the pic is not calibrated properly for printing (eg too dark)? I do not have a printer to test print them at home, so if some of my pic is too dark, will they adjust it before printing?

normally they will ask you if you want them to adjust for you? i go to digipro,Marine Parade, they always ask.

its good to have a monitor that is calibrated to your printer... home or lab... for general pictures, i allow my lab, also digipro at marine parade to adjust, but i limit them to just brightness and not color balance.
for more selective shots, i do everything myself before printing and tell them not to adjust anything.
