If you are using a ballhead, you wouldn't need to get this.

If your ballhead has a pan feature, then you will need the levelling plate.

i using pan & tilt head mostly, cos i prefer accuracy over fast flexibility...

just wondering, is the spirit level on the head & the tripod enough to gauge the level? or do i need to get something like a 2 way level indicator mounted on the hotshoe to get the correct 'level'?
