Default where to go for court hearings

anyone attended a court hearing before?

I have always wanted to attend one. Next tue's case on the maid who murdered the employer and her son seems interesting.

But I don't know where? how? and when exactly?

    And if photo-taking is allowed.

How do I go about getting the info?

I think (not sure) for murder cases you have to go to the supreme court and get a seat from there. I think its free but a first come first serve basis.

Also i do not think photography is allowed, there are artist impressions of cases never seen a photo.

Camera are not allowed to be bought thru the gate @ the court. What you can do is to take ur cam and wait at the arrival/departure area of the court where the van will take the criminals away and snap snap snap.

    nevermind about photography then.

So murder cases are at the Supreme Court (opposite the Padang??)

    then what about rape cases?

Once, I stepped into this Court (near the padang) cos I wanted to find out which court hearings there were that day, but the policemen there quite fierce and kaypoh....like don't welcome me like that....maybe it was my attire...not very covered up...is there a dress code???

how many seats will there be usually for the public?

I think all serious cases are handled in the supreme court, maybe rapes are also serious cases (many years imprisonment ot life). Well once i was following a video crew with equipment + film cameras and the guards told us to keep them away. (cannot take photos) I wanted to see the Anthony Ler case on Nov-Dec 2001 but decide against it later.

if I do take the trouble to go all the way down to the Supreme Court, I might as well pick the more scandalous cases right??
