Hi All! I just started digital photography and I find myself very much interested in indoor photography. Can anyone recommend a starter lighting kit?

Welcome to CS an external flash will be suitable for you. Which external flash depends on your camera model and budget

By indoor you mean portraiture or indoor architecture? If you are talking about portraiture, you can do some read up on some basic exposure and portraiture techniques with books. The most basic starter lighting kit is a flash gun, i am sure there are many books/resources will give you more ideal on a basic setup.

then you will want to practise alot, maybe on your friends or relatives, so as to feel more comfortable and improve.

Yes portraiture. I am currently using a D90 and I am planning to buy a flash gun. Thanks for your advice!

35mm f/1.8 + SB-600 is good combo to start out on portraiture I guess...
