    Default Need advice on lens

Hi, I'm a newbie here. Bought a D7000 recently and are getting hook to photography.

I'm try to get a 60mm mirco or a 105mm mirco lens from Nikon. But both are FX format lens.
Is it ok to have a FX lens on a DX camera?

Appreciate all advice and 10Q in advance.

    Hi Spree86,

    Not a problem at all.

The crop factor for the DX Camera will give you more in terms of "focal length". That is a 60mm lens will be 60x1.5= 90mm and 105x1.5=158mm effectively on an APS size sensor.

    Happy shooting.

    KM7D / CZ16-80 / 70-210mm / 300mm 2.8 / 1.4TC / 100mm 2.8 macro

Haha I am not the TS and the correct term would be "field of view" not focal length
