Question Need help from 7Hi Users....

Hi, I am still very new to photography (using a 7Hi now), so need lots of advice from you experts. Here is my question:

Time: 9+ pm
Situation: Lighting condition was good, brightly lit by flourescent light
Subject: Lion Heads (Mainly yellow)
Distance from subject: About 3-4m
Focal length: 4.5
Tripod: No

Because the lion heads were moving, so I needed higher shutter speed to freeze the movement. But when I set the speed to about 1/45, the screen is very dark. The pic I took is very dark too.

So, may I know whats the reason? Is this normal? What should I do if I want to take pics under similar conditions?

Thanks in advance!

if its too dark, it means its under expose... 7hi makes use of real time DoF/exposure preview.. so as you adjust your exposure (via shutter or aperature) it darkens or brightens respectively

for the case of the 7hi.. theres the on screen histogram.. use it to judge the exposure..

by right, if the lion heads are the main subjects in the screen, the best would be to have a peak in the histogram at the center mark..

else, you would have to use flash or a higher ISO
