Exclamation Problem on Digibin 30L Elec Dry Box??

Hello,

Can you help to conduct the following test? I have got a Digibin 30L Electronic Dry Box and I notice that if I were to switch off the power to the dry box for 4 hours, the R/H will increase by 20%!!

Is my unit defective or is it normal? I am using a digital hydrometer since I have read that the analog hydrometer is not dependable.

So hope that if you have tested it out, please stated your model, size and if yours is analog or digital. Thank you.

Default Should be Digi-Cabi

Oopppss ... should be Digi-Cabi.

I know in theory the power should be turned on all the time but I am just wondering if your family members accidentally unplug the power when you are not around, would the R/H % supposed to jump up by that much? It supposed to be in a sealed condition and thus should not increase by that much right?

Doesn't matter, that few hours will not cause fungus to grow

Anyway, the humidifier unit on my 55L AmPro cabinet has a vent on the unit itself. Not sure if it closes in the event of a power-off, but that could account for the increased humidity also.. the cabinet is also not 100% airtight..

Default My colleague's unit

My colleague has uses the 50L unit with Analog meter and with 8 hours power off, his unit has oly increased by 5% !!

That is why I am curious if my unit is defective or is it a norm. For those who are willing to conduct this experiment, please help to feedback. Thank you.

It normal lah. Don't get too concern about it. Furthermore your lens is not going to be invaded by fungus during that short period of time.
