Diffuser for Macro test subject
I'm making yet another DIY diffuser for Macro photography.
So, to help me save a lot of time, I hope someone can suggest a small & common object that can be used to test how well the diffuser works. I've tried little plastic balls, pens, etc. Even my ugly toe. But they don't think they will give me a good idea on how well the diffuser will work on bugs and other little beasties.
Unfortunatly, I don't have any dead bugs laying around..
What seems to work best is a small shiny rock with some dust on it.
ALSO, when I find a good subject, what should I look for in the photo? Something more specific than no shadows and soft edges..

Re: Diffuser for Macro test subject
I think I got it working.
I'll post some samples in the Macro forum.
