    Default All in the family

    1. in what area is critique to be sought?
Exposure, Tone, Composition, post processing, etc.

    2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
To capture nature and the orderly behaviour animal adopt by flowing their leader

    3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
The photo was taken with tripod at around 4 pm. It was 4 but 1 got away. So to make sure I got at least 3, I took multiple shots at them.

    4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
Angle seems not too right but don't know how. It would be better if the water can reflect all the birds.

It's an interesting shot. The picture is clear and sharp but the composition can be improved. Maybe you would like to crop it so that there will be more focus on the birds? Maybe a long rectangular crop of the 3 birds?

I think one issue is that there are too many reflections in the water that draw attention away from the subject. Perhaps a lower angled shot might have resulted in less of such reflections?

i dont like the distraction of log and stuff at the background..

you might want to use polarizing filter to minimise the reflection and glaring on the water..

    anyway nice catch...

Hi guys, thank you again. I am glad I posted the photo and from such feedback, I got free lessons.

In my opinion I feel that you should have just focused on one as there is a bit too much open space on the bottom. The inclusion on the log is a bit distracting from the focus of the picture,
Taking from a lower angle might be better.

I think keeping the top half is better as I find the water reflection is more distracting then the humble log. maybe it's just me...

i feel the log is ok and provides something of a natural "framing" to the photo

The second photo not as strong IMHO
