Copypasta from previous thread:
Abit late for the macro discussion.
I'm still learning how to photograph still life and flowers in a macro but one major obstacle for me is my own eyes. my eyesight is pretty bad and when looking into the viewfinder my eyes get tired easily and a clear image sometimes appears blur to me.
Probably need to lurk moar in the forum to pick up some tips on how to shoot better but for now this is the most frustrating thing for me when shooting.
Also, some macro shots have incredible clarity which is virtually impossible for a newbie like me to achieve without spamming shoots irl for practice.
Just focussing on getting the right gear now.. I have a tamron 90mm but I think I'll probably need the raynox converter 150/250 too if I really want to go into the subject and get images uncropped on the computer.
Any suggestion? If it's inappropriate do let me know, apologies in advance!
If you need a longer reach, consider the longer lenses such as 180 or 200.
But if you need magnification, then you'll have to look at other tools such as tubes, tc's, etc. iirc, tubes reduce the focsing distance, so you reduce the minimum focusing distance. And tc's will maginify the subject accordingly (but at a lost of aperture)
and in the worse possible senario, crop the pic. haha
