Default Problem with Sanyo Quick Charger (NC-MQR-01)

I just got a set of Sanyo charger + 4 x 1700mAh batteries yesterday

the manual state that the LED should turn on while charging and turn off when charging completed

however, after i put in the batteries for 5 min....the red LED starts to blink (it was turn on when i put in the batteries)

after half a day, it still blinking and the strange thing is the batteries are not charged and not warm at all...when the red LED is on...the batteries gets very hot and that is normal

i check that all batteries are placed in charger properly

manual never say that the LED will blink...it should either On or Off

what's wrong? batteries or charger?

i love this charger..it is sooo compact...the size is like a deck of poker cards only...there are no pins sticking out of the charger, u just need the detachable cable

intelli charger blink only cos of 2 reason, #1 batt wasnt insert properly, #2 its new batt. start to charge( low batt indicator)

maybe u can try this, when u finish using the batt. start charging it, if u see blinking wait for abt 1 hrs and see how is it. it might be an indicator that show batt is low and charging.

just my thought. am using GPSmart so far so good, just the price a little expensive hehe, but tested so far 1 hrs for any 1800 and below, using a small compact adaptor, it work but get very very hot might shorten the life span of the charger lol

Is the Sanyo charger an intelligent charger or a timer based one?
