Default konica hexar

hi...
just a question.... i have a konica Hexar (black) but i dun have any flash... can anyone suggest which flash it is compatible with?? heard that nikon mount is fine... will it damage the camera in any way??

I believe any standard hotshoe flash will do. No TTL is needed. The Nikons should work fine, though might be overkill unless you have other equipment.

nope,

the hexar is HARD programmed with a certain guide number, which I've forgetting,

with you can send in your hexar to be reprogrammed such that is can have a variable guide number,

hence when you want to put on a 3rd party flash, you can dail in the guide number.

Huh? Isn't that a bit strange? Isn't guide number determined by the flash, and exposure by the aperture?

hmm... I think it might work if you use it in full manual, but the mode I was talking about was "program mode flash"

Some sort of "TTL"? Sorry, never played with a Hexar before.

Rueyloon, you not making sense leh. You mean the camera will open up the correct aperture according to your focus distance, right? Something like the Nikon GN lenses, and quite a few of the '70s compact rangefinders.

tried Metz 34AF-3N , seems works ok... fires off alrite... but will it damge the camera?
