Default Thinking of buying Canon WFT E3A

I have browsed around and found a good bargain
online for Canon wireless file transmitter WFT-E3A.
    Item Cost: US$614.95
    Shipping to SG : US$47.85
    Total: US$ 662.80 or SGD$861.54 (using rate of 1.3)
    Canon price is SGD$1399 - no warranty for this product;
that was what they told me the last time I bought
Probably can get for SGD1200 and a free battery from some retailers.

What do you guys think. Is it worth it?
Any ideas on alternative forms of wireless transmission?

Yes. Eyefi seems to do the job but they dont support
CF cards, 40D and 50D cams. It is supports SD cards.
    Further it has limited range.
I might just order one to play around with it.
Prices seems very reasonable. Need to test its range,
    transfer speed and reliability.

From online postings of users, SD to CF card adapter
    may or may not work.
I will stick to the WFT E3 and play with Eyefi
as there is no room for error during shoot and
    print sessions.

Checked info on CF to SD card adapter
    for Eye Fi SD card.
It seems that with the use of the adapter,
the range is reduced to 5 to 6 meters.
I do not know what the range when
the Eye Fi SD card is used without adapter.

Default Received and tested the Canon WFT E3A

    The wireless transmitter have arrived.
I have tested it on both IIS and FileZilla Server
and it worked fine. Transfer rates are good.

Now I am trying to figure out how I can use the
Eye Fi Card and extend its range to be as good
    as the Canon FTP transmitter.
I think it can be done.
