    Default Camera Care in Singapore

Hi, I'm bringing some of my camera equipment to Singapore, and I had some bad experiences before when I found fungus on Canon 50mm f1.0 lens and all my old stuff (even in dry box). My equipment is all in Boston now, and they are not even in a dry cabinet, and they work fine after 10 years.

I'm coming back to Asia with some equipment, and I was wondering if I needed any special equipment to store my stuff, even when I intend to shoot once a week.

I'm brining back some equipment which I care about,

    Nikkor 180mm f2.8
    Canon 200mm f2 L
    Zeiss 85mm f2
    Canon 35mm f1.4L

    And some other manual lens.

    Pls advice.

a dry cabinet might be a good idea if you have a place of residence and are intending to spend an extended period of time in our humid climate.

You definitely need a dry cabinet. Relative Humility in Singapore is hovering average around > 90%.

How long are you going to be here? If its a short stay maybe a dry box would be better since you can bring it back with you.

About few months from Feb - March, then April - June.

Are there dry boxes that big?

Have you seen the size of the 200mm f/2?

It comes with its own box!

Well you will definitely need more than 1 dry box or like others suggest, get a dry cabinet and give/sell away when you are going to leave.
