Maybe its my eyes or what. But when my friend let me see pictures taken with the FZ10 I notice a little purple fringing on the edges of the subject. Not so prominent when zoom's is juz 1 to 5x but extremely noticeable when its maxed all the way.

I'm starting to wonder if such a problem is exclusive to all super zoom prosumer cams (which includes the S1 IS).

But this is juz a thought, using the Panasonic FZ10 as an example. U might want to check out photos taken under strong light, maxed zoom by other S1 IS users since I do not have any experience with it.

I did some test shots with my S1 regarding the concern for purple fringe.
Guess what ?? to my surprise it handle it pretty well.
Wonderful camera.
