    jetstar ok, tiger never again!

tiger: delays... delays... cancelled flight at last minute and bump you to more expensive ticket or inconvenient date.

and when it trains, u will curse and swear if u take tiger, cos there is no shelter ... u had to run across to the budget terminal in the rain.

the best part is that the price difference btw tiger and jetstar is not much , so why not take your flight at T2 comfortably.

My impression tells me Jetstar's better ... however, I wasn't pleased with my recent trip to Taipei ... the flight out was delayed by about 40 minutes and coming home, it was delayed by at least an hour ...

I have never been a fan of Tiger air. Easyjet and Jetstar still ok. I'm flying to HK in april and Jetstar is about $150 cheaper than Cathay. However midnight charge taxi to and fro Changi will cost me close to $40 so that means it's about $110 cheaper than Cathay. I think i will book Cathay. They provide food as well and the seats are more comfortable.

I think jetstar seats more comfortable than tiger. Other than that i don't see much of a difference. Unless i can get $80 flight to taipei like how my friend managed to grab the deal,i won't mind the delay.

Sorry to hear about your delay but i hope you had fun!

It depends how demanding you are when it comes to accommodations standards in HK.

A difference of $100 in airplane tickets can get actually get me 4 nights of accommodation over there.

Yup, $80 before tax! Jetstar had a promotion last year. If it makes you feel better, my cny tix (sq) cost almost double of yours!

Between Boeing and Airbus, any difference? I cannot feel any diff. Both are pretty new planes.

the APS counter pple told me it's rush job. they only have 25 mins to unload the plane (who just arrived) and load our luagge up and fly again... all in 25mins.
Luggage handlers dunno if the bag belongs to those in business class, first class or budget class. These men develop lots of muscles in the course of their job.

You're lucky that the bag din open up in the belt, and expose all your multi-color garments.: [I have seen that at the Budget Terminal]

SIA>Cathay Pacific>Jetstar>Tiger Airways roughly diff of <$100/$150> between each. Took Jetstar & Tiger before few times, no problem. Take Jetstar which is more convenient & if you dont like to walk extra length but if you want to save money (for better hotel, shopping etc) take Tiger. Once inside airplane, no difference for both. Enjoy the trip.
