I am one of the victims... alarm clock failed and i overslept for an important date!
Alarm can fail when you don't expect and for strangest reasons.
Have experienced this.
Try to sleep early if you have important matter.
Because if you are very tired and your body is in a certain deep sleep state, you may not notice the alarm even if it goes off.

Important days = proper alarm clock + phone alarm clock
Mine rang when I didn't want it to.

and the Kop sings, "You'll never walk alone"
Don't tell me that you also overslept for a wedding shoot!
I think is not just New Year Day. My iPhone alarm failed to ring this morning too. I woke up at 9.30am instead of 8.30am for a soccer kickabout. Luckily when I reached there at 10am, my guys were later than me.
Then just now tried to test but the alarm failed both time without ringing the alarm. Think is a worldwide phenomenon.
me & my wife was also affected by this non ringing alarm bug. Workaround- set ya alarm to recurring instead of 1-time & it'll work.
No problems on Android though. But yeah, I've heard of other people using iPhone that missed their alarm today too
It is really a worldwide phenomenon...
It's a iPhone problem. The non recurring alarm doesn't work. But the recurring one no problem
I am using iPhone alarm, so far ok for me. Only issue is when I switch to silent, but it will vibrate.
